An Interview with Bud Lyon

Bud Lyon, of Tioga, Texas, has experienced great success at all levels in his horse-showing career, from youth to open in AQHA, NRHA, and NRCHA competition. After winning a reserve world championship at the AQHA Youth World and a world championship at then an AQHA world championship in the amateur reining, Lyon took his riding career to the professional level and has since won an AQHA world championship in the ranch riding. Along with training open-level horses, he takes pride in coaching amateur and youth riders to achieve their goals. His coaching and communication abilities make him a sought-after clinician for his areas of focus—reining and ranch riding.

An Interview with Brad Barkemeyer

Brad Barkemeyer, Scottsdale, Arizona, grew up on a ranch in Montana, giving him an appreciation for versatile horses and the Western lifestyle. After experiencing the performance horse industry for the first time at Montana State University, Barkemeyer began to ride under some of the Western performance industry’s most highly respected individuals. He officially went out on his own in 2010 and now operates Bar B Performance Horses with his wife, Mindy, and their two young boys. He now trains working cow horses and coaches amateur riders of all competitive levels, focusing on AQHA and NRCHA events.
